Grammar School
The course of study below is to serve as a guide for what a student may take during Grades 3, 4, 5, and 6 at Wilson Hill Academy.
For younger students wishing to prepare for success in online classes, please see our newly-launched Wilson Hill K3 program. This program is designed to assist parents of children in grades Kindergarten through third grade establish a firm foundation for later grammar school courses.

* The chronological sequence from Ancients to Christendom to Modernity is recommended for grades 4 through 6, but would also be appropriate for grades 5 through 7. The Making of America is taught at a 3rd or 4th or grade level. 20th Century is most appropriate for 7th graders, but is open to advanced 6th graders who are emotionally prepared for the subject matter.
** The Grammar of Science courses, Life Science and Sky and Space, can be taken in either order in grades 4 or 5; Introduction to Earth Science is recommended for 6th graders.
*** Grammar Latin A (using LFC Primer A) may be taken by a student who is at least 9 years old by September 1 of the school year. Note also that Fundamentals of Latin is intended for sixth graders who have no prior exposure to Latin and would be a step backward for students who have completed Grammar Latin B or Grammar Latin C. Sixth graders who have completed Grammar Latin C or equivalent should consider Latin 1.
