Debby Louviere
Debby desires to instill in her students a life-long love of learning about Jesus Christ, His Word, and His world. She strives to make learning new material fun, interesting, and even exciting – especially when students may imagine something is “hard” or “boring.” She endeavors to engage the hearts and minds of the students so that they truly enjoy discovering unfamiliar subject matter. Debby loves to see the self-respect that results when students work hard and enjoy the fruits of their labor. The students’ confidence grows, and they are then better equipped to take on new challenges.
Debby earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Illinois University and a Juris Doctor degree from Louisiana State University. Her teaching experience includes fourteen years in a brick-and-mortar classical Christian school and two years homeschooling her youngest son.
Debby and her husband, Andre, live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and have four children. Their oldest daughter and son graduated from Wilson Hill Academy in 2020 and 2022, and their youngest daughter and son are currently enrolled in Wilson Hill Academy at the rhetoric level. Debby and her husband have been active members of Christ Presbyterian Church for over twenty years. Some of her favorite things are drinking coffee, reading, teaching folk dance, learning Psalms, fellowshipping with friends, and crocheting washcloths for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes.
