Shannon Galloway
From a very early age, Shannon knew she wanted to teach, but it wasn’t until she attended the LBJ Science Academy for high school that she discovered she loved science. After attending Concordia University in Austin where she majored in secondary education with a science composite focus, she moved to California to teach. She spent 13 years at Lutheran High School in Elk Grove, CA, where she taught all areas of high school science.
In 2012, Shannon and her husband, Jason, moved back to her home state of Texas to be near family. From 2012–2015, she taught at St. Michael’s Catholic Academy in Austin. In 2015, she and her husband welcomed a baby girl, and Shannon chose to be a stay-at-home mom. In 2020, they welcomed a baby boy, Bubba. She is thrilled to be able to share her love of science with Wilson Hill students while still spending her days taking care of her little one. Shannon enjoys hiking, camping, running, crocheting, reading and spending time with family.
