Tom Rosenwinkel likes to read mathematics with students to praise God and serve our neighbors.  Mathematics is both deeply precise and widely applicable, and as such should be approached in the context of virtuous character development whether students are ultimately called to lead a global technology company or homeschool a child.  Tom likes to find what a student can see, and show the next beautiful thing to bring wonder to the study of mathematics.

Tom has a Bachelor of Electrical and Computer Engineering degree with an additional major in physics, and minors in music and the humanities from Valparaiso University, and a Master of Science degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin.  He taught at Concordia University Texas before starting a career in healthcare IT and data science and currently teaches calculus in the classroom at Memorial Lutheran School in Houston, TX.  He and his wife are both work-from-home Christian classical homeschooling parents with five children from preschool to high school.
