The Wilson Hill K3 offerings are designed to help parents prepare their children aged 5-8 for success in later coursework at Wilson Hill Academy; when parents join a Wilson Hill K3 cohort, they never homeschool alone. These cohorts are designed for the homeschooling adult. Each cohort meets weekly with a WHA Mentor who provides detailed modules for reading, math, nature studies and enrichment activities. Cohorts are organized around student reading levels ranging from none (Kindergarten) to growing independent readers (second grade).
Third-grade students continue their K3 journey by registering for courses in WHA’s Grammar School. Wilson Hill K3 third-graders are prepared and excited to attend live online courses twice a week, becoming full members of the WHA student body. Parents continue to play a supportive role behind the scenes with their children and with each other, even as teachers coach students toward independent learning, study skills and time management. Third-grade recommended courses include Math 3, Don’t Miss These Books 3 and Making of America.
